For many years we have raised funds for Cancer Research by taking part in their annual Will Scheme, and we have been informed that we are one the top-performing firms in the North East in terms of funds raised.
Every Christmas we promote Feeding Families and encourage members of the public and other businesses to make drop-off food donations at both of our offices so that Feeding Families can make up Christmas hampers for those in need across the North East.
We raise awareness of the coffee morning and staff bake cakes and sell them to members of the public and local businesses.
We are members of the Gosforth Dementia Friendly Group, we work with other businesses and charities in the area to educate the public and businesses as to the needs of those with dementia and their carers. This involves local churches, theatres, Admiral nurses, building societies and shops.
Most of our staff are trained Dementia Friends meaning that they know how to assist those with dementia and their carers.
For over 20 years, we have supported the Soldiers, Sailors and Airforce Association and SSAFFA volunteers. We continue to give free advice to serving and ex-service personnel. This help is for those in dire straits who would not be able to afford legal assistance. We offer free training to SSAFFA volunteers covering various areas of the law.
We are the only solicitors firm in the country currently offering Slow Shopping. Our staff have been trained to assist anyone with mental or physical impairment. We offer free drop-in sessions every week to anyone who may need legal assistance in a calm and welcoming environment.
We annually take part in the scheme raising much needed funds for the hospice via both our Newcastle and Sunderland offices.
We have been involved in offering free talks to the men's' group at Maggie's Cancer Charity on all areas of law relevant to those who attend the group.
