Michael Robinson is a specialist criminal law litigator and advocate.
Totting up offences occur when you reach 12 points on your licence. You may have received the points for speeding, driving through a red traffic light, drink driving or driving without due care and attention. Should you reach 12 points in a 3 year period, the court guidelines are that you should be automatically disqualified from driving for at least 6 months. Some courts do disqualify for 3 months instead but the likelihood is that, if you reach 12 points and you cannot convince the court that you should be allowed to retain your licence, then you are likely to lose your licence for a 6 month period.
At Emmersons Solicitiors our Motoring Law team (Newcastle and Sunderland) have built up an excellent reputation for helping our clients to retain their driving licences when they would otherwise face a ban under the Totting Up procedure. Michael Robinson, one of the partners of Emmersons Solicitors is an excellent advocate. He will take time to prepare your case indepth and to present the best possible legal arguments to the court on your behalf. Michael has been able to help many people like you to keep their driving licence.
We can represent clients like you at many courts including but not limited to:
Would losing your licence mean that you lost your job?
Would you then lose your home?
If you lost your licence would this mean losing your business and your employees losing their jobs?
Did you know that following a driving ban you can expect to pay £100's if not £1,000's extra per year for car insurance once you are able to drive again.
The concequences of losing your driving licence can be dire! The motoring law rules are highly technical. Therefore if you are trying to save your driving licence, you should not attempt to represent yourself. To help you keep your licence, your livelihood and your home contact us at Emmersons Solicitors at our Newcastle or Sunderland Offices.
